Introduction

Creating a product is a process of trade-offs and balance; it’s challenging to satisfy every “must-have” and “nice-to-have” simultaneously. Many times, certain decisions were beyond our control. Since it’s called a product, it must solve problems at its core. Otherwise, it loses its purpose as a product. We sincerely ask for your understanding if it doesn’t meet your expectations. Communicating with everyone is a crucial step in our growth.

FAQ


Q: Can the knob’s top and bottom covers be sold separately so I can mix and match?
A: Improper installation could damage the decoder and circuit board, rendering the product unusable.

Q: Can the knob have a one-click power-on feature? Why wasn’t this implemented?
A: A one-click power-on feature requires jumper connections, which are complex for general enthusiasts to operate initially. We will only consider implementing it if a better solution arises.

Q: Can you add support for the Surface Dial functionality?
A: The team needs time to research and learn about it. We will only add this feature if it doesn’t conflict with the current system. We also appreciate the suggestion and the help provided by the community.

Q: Why does the back cover have only a small acrylic section? Why not make it fully metal?
A: A fully metal back would block signals and make the product unusable. Therefore, the back cover uses acrylic (while the base is CNC-machined aluminium). The acrylic section is painted to blend in visually, and without touching it, it’s hard to distinguish from full metal.
